But TMZ reports that a judge, after traveling to the hospital, granted doctors' request to extend Bynes' psychiatric hold for an additional 30 days, which requires the patient to be "gravely disabled as a result of a mental disorder." PHOTOS: Amanda Bynes though the years The former Nickelodeon star was initially placed on an involuntary 5150 psychiatric hold on July 22, after allegedly starting a fire in a stranger's driveway in her hometown of Thousand Oaks, Calif. A judge then granted a request to extend Bynes' mental health evaluation by two weeks.
