Lee Thompson Young Didn't Leave Suicide Note, Rizzoli and Isles Suspends Filming

"Lee Thompson Young didn't leave any closure behind for his loved ones before committing suicide. According to new reports, the 29-year-old actor didn't leave a suicide note behind, and his Rizzoli & Isles costars are now mourning his death. Law enforcement sources told TMZ that a suicide note was not found in Young's North Hollywood apartment after he was found dead from a self-inflicted gunshot wound on Monday, Aug. 19. Though The Famous Jett Jackson reportedly kept a regular diary, the entries apparently did not reveal a reason why the former Disney star would take his own life. On Monday, Young's publicist said in a statement to TMZ, "It is with great sadness that I announce that Lee Thompson Young tragically took his own life this morning . . . Lee was more than just a brilliant young actor, he was a wonderful and gentle soul who will be truly missed." Following the actor's tragic death, The Wrap reports that TNT's Rizzoli & Isles has shut down production of the police drama series. Young played Det. Barry Frost on the show alongside Angie Harmon and Sasha Alexander. "We're devastated by the news of the passing of Lee Thompson Young," read a post on Rizzoli & Isles' official Twitter account Monday. "Lee will be cherished and remembered by all who knew and loved him." It is unclear how long production of Rizzoli & Isles will be suspended while cast and crew mourn the loss of Young.
